West Overton Museums - Visit one of the only villages in the country that has stood from the days of George Washington and was the birthplace of Henry Clay Frick, one of the biggest names in steel industry in Pittsburgh.The West Overton Village was named to the National Register of Historic Districts in 1985 as an outstanding example of a 19th century rural industrial village.
Fort Necessity Battlefield - This was the opening battle of the French and Indian War, the struggle between Great Britain and France for control of North America. The removal of French power from the continent helped pave the way for the American Revolution.
Bushy Run Battlefield - The opening of western Pennsylvania to settlement was the result of a decisive victory over the Native Americans at the Battle of Bushy Run, August 5th and 6th, 1763. Bushy Run Battlefield is the only historic site or museum that deals exclusively with Pontiac's War, one of the most significant Native American conflicts in American History.

Jumonville Glen - The site of an encounter that lasted barely 10 minutes but resulted in the deaths of between 10 and 14 Frenchmen and the murder of Sieur Jumonville after the fighting had stopped. George Washing would later sign a confessions to this murder at his defeat at Fort Necessity.

Braddock's Grave - On this site Gen. Edward Braddock was buried on July 13, 1755. George Washington ordered that the general’s body be buried in the roadbed to conceal it from an enemy thought to be in pursuit. It would remain there until 1804 when it was descovered by a group of workmen repairing the road.
